Artwork Guidelines
To make sure your stickers print perfectly (and without delays), here’s what we need from you:
1. File Format & Resolution
- Preferred formats: Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF).
- Accepted raster formats: High-resolution PNG or JPEG.
- Files must be supplied 1-up (one sticker per page) and at the exact size required.
- Resolution must be at least 300 DPI at print size.
- Canva artwork must be supplied as a share-to-edit link (not screenshots or low-res downloads).
Most designs downloaded directly from Canva are only 96 DPI, which is too low for print. Please contact us if you need help exporting higher-resolution files.
2. Colour Mode
- We print in CMYK.
- Files supplied in RGB may shift slightly when converted.
Important note about Canva
- Canva works in RGB colour mode only.
- Our printers operate in CMYK with an expanded 8-colour ink set, so colours may differ once printed.
- Bright/neon shades and fluorescent colours created in Canva cannot be perfectly replicated in print.
- Colour shifts will not warrant a reprint.
3. Fonts & Text
- Convert fonts to outlines/curves (or supply the font file).
- Minimum font size is 5pt. Text smaller than this may not be legible.
4. Size, Bleed & Safe Zone
- Artwork must be set at the exact size required.
- Add a minimum 2–3mm bleed on all sides.
- Keep important design elements (logos, text, borders) at least 2–3mm inside the cut line (safe zone).
- Please note: printing/cutting may naturally shift by 1–2mm during production.
Failure to supply adequate bleed or safe zones may result in trimming issues or unwanted white edges. This will not qualify for a reprint.
5. Borders
- Borders are not recommended.
- Machine shifts of up to 2mm can make borders appear uneven.
- Uneven borders are not considered a production fault and will not warrant a reprint.
6. Images & Effects
- All linked images must be embedded in your file.
- Effects such as shadows, transparencies, gradients, or blurs should be flattened/rasterised before submitting.
7. Transparent Vinyl
- We do not currently print white ink.
- Any white areas in your design will appear transparent when printed on clear vinyl.
8. Cut Lines
- You do not need to create your own cut lines.
- Sticky Biz will set up the cut paths for your stickers/decals as part of the print process.
File Responsibility
Sticky Biz does not check each file for compliance with these guidelines. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure artwork is print-ready. Any errors resulting from files supplied outside these requirements will not be reprinted at our cost.
